New Year 2016 goals and some info!

So my Opel is finally finished when it comes to engine regeneration "without opening patient". It recived all stuff that I've mentioned before, got its engine cleaned outside, flushed inside, have new oil and oil filter, engine regenerator, ceramizer, two fuel additions and new fuel filter. Video of whole process is coming soon on my channel Aristos Garage, so don't forget to click this link:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSFLFnSsxwerX8DaPdVPsVQ
and subscribe so you will get it quickier than here!
Also I want to bring you some of my goals for this year which hopefully I will achieve:

-Going to dyno with my car and checking its real power
-Complete anti rust conservation of whole car's underbody.
-Complete exhaust change
-Fixing right side of sound system and eventually changing all speakers in doors from both sides.
-Soundproofing doors
-Changing door panels into plack leather ones together with locks and painting wooden trim silver.
-Installing front McPherson strut bar
-Changing all rubber elements of suspension into polyurethane replacements
-Installing new, lowering springs -35mm and possibly new gas shocks.

That's all that seems possible for me now. However I have much more plans but if I achieve these above, my car will for sure sound way better by itself, by music and will have better handling and look due to suspension mods. We will see what new 2016 year will bring but I'm very positive about it!
For now, I want to wish you all Happy New Year!!! And wish you  achieve all your goals for 2016 and to your dreams come true! Let's make this year awesome ;)

A little bit of chemistry.

I've just completed collecting everything needed to make engine of my car running good as it is only possible. This will give me certainty that when I will go on dyno to check car's power, nothing wrong will happen and engine will be closer to its specification when it was new.

So going from the left to the right, aside Ceratec empty box, we have:
-Bosch fuel filter with new plastic clasps for fuel lines.
-STP Engine Regenerator
-Liqui Moly Speed fuel addition
-Liqui Moly Ceratec ceramizer
-Genuine GM Motor Oil 10W-40
-STP Formula for Gasoline Engines
-Filtron Oil Filter
-K2 engine cleaner for removing dirt

Beside these, I'm going also to use engine flush which I will show you all together with the rest of specifics and parts in new episode of my automotive YouTube channel Aristos Garage. If you don't know about it yet, click the link (Aristos Garage) and subscribe for more automotive videos. Also click "like" on Facebook fanpage of AG (Facebook Fanpage) so you will keep up with news. Most of videos containing Opel Omega B OPC will be posted there, as topics will mostly go beyond this one car.

So that's it for now, stay tuned for new Aristos Garage episode about regenerating your car's engine on your driveway. Don't forget to subscribe and click like on facebook fanpage of Aristos Garage and Opel Omega B OPC (Here). See you and have a nice day! :)

Good news and a nice surprise.

Last Tuesday my car had its electronics diagnosed. Results? Only 2 errors, both old,
both caused by works that we have done before. As the car has electronics in a good state and no errors or potential damages that need to be fixed were found, next step is preparing its engine for dyno. This means some restoration which I will show you after I got all needed things. Below photo of print from diagnostic service:
We got errors number 19 (wrong signal of engine RPMs) and 145 (wrong signal from immobiliser). And that's it :D Everything is working fine, I'm going to collect all things I need and make a video of basic actions you should take if you want to make your engine running better! ;) So stay tuned for more. See you!

A tiny thing fixed and further plans.

So today very short post as I wanted to tell you that finally my car has working oryginal auto alarm system. Due to old battery in key pilot, not only I wasn't able to lock the car automatically but also alarm wasn't going into stand-by mode. Changing batter helped and it shown car's real auto alarm. Oryginal with small "horn" like siren which sounds like someone is honking. Together with this blinkers are flashing. I'm glad that everything about is working well and that I have oryginal auto alarm system.
So now, my next goal is to fix some cables with front seats as they got cutted wiring and due to taking old seats out from the car, I got airbag lamp on when starting up the car. So to turn it off, first i need to deal with front seats wiring and then I will take my car to someone who will delete all errors trough OBDII interface and also we will find out if engine is working 100% properly. If not, then we will start doing our best to bring it to its top condition and I will probably take my car on the dyno after it to see if it still has those 208hp under the hood.

Honking problem.

So since I've bought my Opel Omega B, it never honked...even once. Finally I decided to change it. After taking off horns, which were oryginal Hella two tones, together with my dad we found out that they are so dirty and rusty, that they won't work at all. One honked a tiny bit later, but the only place where they should end up was junk. I bought one from my mate, used and working, and later my dad found second with lower tone on a junkyard.
We've put them together and had finally completed horn:

After cleaning then and painting with flat black paint, they finally looked well:

Yet, they were working but not on the car. What was the reason? Broken electrical installation. So it had to be completely changed into new one, with new, thick cables and put in a way that it won't catch fire, melt or simply rub on anything. After this operation, car got its horn back and I must say that oryginal Hella two tones for Omega B sound great.

Introduction - Opel Omega B OPC - how is it possible?

Hello everybody! Today I want to introduce myself and my idea for this blog and my car. My name is Chris and I'm living in Poland, Europe. I'm an owner of Opel Omega B MV6 sedan. This is my first car and  I've had a plan for it before I even had it. So:

1.What car do I own?

As I said, Opel Omega B MV6 sedan. Car has 3.0 litre V6 engine, rear wheel drive and manual transmission. Comfortable and quite luxury. This one was produced in 1997. Its engine produce 208hp and 270Nm which is not bad.  And here are some pics of my car and me with it:

2.Your car looks similar. Where could I find it?

Well, it may look similar as it was offered as Opel Omega in most of Europe and:
1)Vauxhall Omega in Great Britain:

2) Cadillac Catera (Only 3.0 V6 engine and equipment, so only cars like mine were sold) in North America:

3)Chevrolet Omega in  South America:
4) And with also V8 engines as Holden Commodore in Australia.
Holden Commodore VT:
5) Holden Commodore VX:

There were also Caravan versions of those cars which you can search in Google or other browser ;)

3. What means "OPC" next to name of your car?

Let's start from the beginning.
In 90's Opel produced sport versions of their cars, like Opel Corsa or Astra, in GSi Versions. These cars were known for better performance and more sporty look and equippment.

Opel Corsa A GSi:

Opel Corsa B GSi:
Opel Kadett GSi (in sedan known as Opel Monza GSi from what I know by my research):
Opel Astra F GSi:

Probably there might be some versions of other models which were named like that, but we are not going to focuse now on them. After ending production of GSi models, their place took cars modified by tuning shop Opel Performance Center, which although is working only with Opel, isn't owned by them. They made several models already which were available in dealerships and are well known by their special colour - Arden Blue. However, they started in 1999 by creating Opel Astra G OPC. Which was produced together with my Omega trough some time. Omega could be their first project, but they didn't take it. Opel Astra G OPC in 1st series was limited edition and only 3000 cars were produced. The point was to get homologation for racing so these models also had a lot in common with racing. Later Opel Astra G OPC II was produced, also in caravan version. And on these two models we will focuse the most.

Opel Astra G OPC I:

Opel Astra G OPC II:

4.What is your plan to make a non existing version of your car?
I'm basing partially on this what was changed in Opel Astra G OPC I and II plus some things from Opel and few ideas of mine.

Let's start from the engine:
225hp and some more Nm without ingerentions in "guts" of the engine. That means mostly exhaust, intake and ECU changes. There is possibility that I may polish intake channels and maybe the car will get new cams. But probably not.

Transmission:I want to make flywheel lighter or change it into lighter one. There is possibility that someday i will add 40% Limited Slip Differential which was installed in some Omegas.

Suspension:Sachs or Bilstein B6 shocks probably, lowering springs -30mm or -35mm. Rubber elements changed into polyurethanes for better durability. Front McPherson collumns spacer (needed to make the body more stiff due to lowering).

Brakes: Sport front brake discs, probably cutted and/or drilled. Rear brakes swapped from newer verson of Opel Omega B FL to have vented rear brakes. Sport brake pads, DOT5 liquid and new hoses.

Wheels:Opel Astra G OPC I, Opel Astra G OPC II or Opel Zafira OPC wheels (last two had same), 17 inch, with sport Dunlop tires, probably 255/35 R17 or similar size.

Body: Removing rust, new Arden Blue paint, restored and modified front lights, tinted tail lights, spoiler on the trunk lid, side skirts from Opel Omega B FL, front and rear bumpers Irmscher replicas, Irmscher front grill contribution, Steinmetz side mirrors, OPC badges, painted door stripes, carbon wrap on B pillars, full auto detailing.

Interior: White tachometers with blue light and red glowing needles (done), Recaro black leather seats (done), swapped interior into black one from line of windows down to the floor (done), black leather door panels, wooden imitations painted silver, Irmscher steering wheel with silver accents, Irmscher replica pedals (done). Full detailing.

Audio:Oryginal BOSE audio system with 10 speakers, amplifier, CD changer and BOSE casette player, with steering wheel control buttons.

And it will be done then :) My dream will come true and I want to show you how it is becoming true!

So that's it for now. I hope that now I made everything clear :) If you want to see my car more, go and check out my YouTube channe Aristos Garage, where I'm presenting my car more exactly in some videos or showing some works:

I wish you awesome day and I'm glad that you've read everything and came here to the end! Stay tuned for more. See you!
